So a track runner decided to hit on me the other day and it was sweet and very cute until I found out that he had hit on multiple girls within the past few weeks to "keep his options open" and that he was attempting to date other people also.
Sweet kid. But alas, still a kid.
It also didn't help that he was taking lessons from a guy who was known for cheating on his girlfriends, one of which who loved him very much and that he cheated on with two other freshmen girls. A guy who no one likes because he drives everyone away and a guy who really... sadly... lacks ambition and isn't really sure of himself. He tries to be a big shot, but it just seems like he's lost and confused. He used to be my hero; now I just miss him.
Sweet kid, but still a kid.
The track runner is really sweet and really good at what he does. He says hi to me when he sees me. He gives me awkward freshman-boy hugs. And I was honored and flattered by him asking me for my number as he suavely leaned against the countertop in my school's late-night cafeteria area. He's a great kid. Too bad a kid's still a kid.
