I was in church.
And of course I was doing something other than actually paying attention to what the priest giving the homily (or sermon, in lay terms) was giving today. I was thinking of what to write on this next post. Ironic, right? Because some snippets of what I heard might be in here. No worries--it's not going to be religious or anything, just some things that I found interesting.
Like for example, looking at the Bible as a piece of literature, today's reading was about Solomon and how he was selfless enough to ask to know right from wrong instead of asking for eternal life, riches, or the death of his enemies. He became the wisest king the world has ever known all because he asked for wisdom rather than power.
Maybe that's a lesson we all should learn from.
